Oh dear... The last time i sent an entry onto this blog is like... last year!!! Ya, i'm horrible, i know, that's why i'm updating y'all now of what has happened recently this year :)

Ya, just like Phuong, i'm a qualified Lifeguard now. Hurray!!!!!! For those who took the test: Good job!!! For those who didn't take the test: thank y'all for helping us and supporting us!!! And for those who are taking test: good luck, you guys would make it just like we did!!! Oh no, i'm getting high again... hahaha

J2 has been busy, like seriously. Ha and I were involved in Orientation 1 and 2... Oh ya oh ya, i almost forgot to say: Orientation was truly a blast!!!! Though it got us all burnt and worn out, but it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would surely bring up a spark in our eyes every time we look back.

And then there was the SAT that Trang and I took last month.. Though we're kinda prepared that we'd screw the test, for me, there was still quite a lot of stress upon taking the test. And ya, the result didn't turn out very well, but for someone who didn't study anything like us, bet we'd own it in May when we're more prepared :)
And then Chinese new year came, with a four-day holiday, and Ha's birthday fell exactly on the 1st day of Chinese new year. We went to Labrador Park to have a small party, and ya, happy birthday Ha, though it's already 17 days over, haha :)

And then Valentines came in peace, meaning, there was no scandal among the 4 of us, or at least that was all that I'd noticed :D

Now, term exam is like coming.... in 4 days' time, oh no!!!! Study hard, ok? I know we'd make it through, just like we did to all the major exams that we have had so far. This is already our last year, so press on girls!!!!

Ya, so this is like our A level year. Put in the best effort, girls, let's all complete our race with passion, tenacity and integrity, let's all run this race like we've never run before, let's run so that at the end of the race, you could just like fall down, like you're dying, knowing that you've put in the best you could and finished it...

.... Who knows, this might be the last year we stay together as one...

qualified lifeguards!

I AM A QUALIFIED LIFEGUARD FROM TODAY ONWARDS! yes that means that i passed my BM (Bronze Medalion) test!

theory test was okay (i applied what i studied from the lifesaving manual and mostly my own COMMON SENSE to answer all eight questions in the paper given!). i was super nervous before the 3:15 test (for your information, 3:15 test is the test that requires the candidates to swim 50m, rescue the casualty and tow the casualty back to safety within the time limit of 3 mins and 15 seconds). i'd never met the timing before during practices. but amazingly, despite the muscle pain ever since mass pe on thursday, today my timing was 3 MINS!!! i dont know whether the swimming cap really helped or whether i was so scared of failing BM that i stripped, swam and towed that fast! the rest of the items after 3:15 were easy, because there were no timings taken.

what made me even happier is that all the nine of us who took the test today passed! victor actually didnt make it at first, but the super nice examiner gave him a second chance and with zhi yong's assistance, his timing was 3:09! good job victor! haha we all screamed like mad when the examiner said we were all qualified! i like that examiner! he was super lenient!

after the test, all of us (including those who didnt take the test as well) went to dover market for lunch. haha i dont know why we always go to dover market after all e tests that we've taken so far. its not like e best place to eat or whatsoever, but its just super nice to stay there with my lifeguards friends talking, camwhoring, and creating scandals! haha lifeguards is super scandalous now! there're so many couples! haha and king raymond aka haohao is really popular!

oh i realise that i can talk so much about lifeguards! i really love acjc lifeguards very much! haha i've been saying this for many many times, but i still wanna say it again!

hmm after cheryl, tiffany, perlin, and huihui pass their BM, we'll go out to celebrate again! and this time, the celebrate will be much more grand/grander because we'll get our certs! go acjc lifeguards!

im like super happy now, and i seriously have no idea why i am happy! sometimes i just cant understand myself. this week has been a busy and tiring one with a lot of things happening at the same time. i was like always tired and sleepy everyday. the only time when i was more active was during lifeguards training! when i joined lifeguards last year, i never imagined that there would be this day when i loved lifeguards so much!

hmm i was blog-hopping just now, and i visited blogs of my cca friends. hmm i noticed that they blogged a lot about lifeguards! reading their blogs made me realise how much they are proud of acjc lifeguards ad being a part of acjc lifeguards. so i just feel like blogging about lifeguards too, because i am, just like my cca friends, proud to be an acjc lifeguard!

although i hate myself being such a blackie becauce of swimming under the hot sun three times a week (especially during saturday trainings!), although im very worried for my skin allergy, although i never want to have arm muscles and huge thighs, i dont know why i just cannot not go for trainings. to be honest, there are times when im super lazy to swim, but i still go to the pool just to watch my lifeguards friends swim.

having trainings three times a week cannot be considered often. each training also lasts for only 2-3 hours. so in fact, we only spend about 10 hours with one another per week. hmm 10 hours? thats less then e time i spend with my classmates in a day! okay it is true that i love my class and most of my classmates, and i also love my friends-and-non-friends friends, but i have to admit that as a whole, i love lifeguards the most! [classmates, friends and non-friends, please dont be mad at me!]

bm test is next saturday. i hope i wont fail! i've never met the 3:15 timing before! omg im scared! from now until then, i have 3 trainings left! i promise i'll train as hard as i can, and do my best during the test. we can do this together! looking forward to march camp!

its been like a century since i posted something here! okay, maybe not a century, hmm, just one year! haha i cant believe that my last entry here was posted last year! so happy new year people! i know this is a very very late new year greeting, but yeah...

january is ending soon [actually today is the last day of january!]. i've gotten used to writing 2008 in my tutorials/ homework/ assignments instead of writing 2007. wow its been a month since i become a senior in school! being a j2 is not as bad as i expected YET! our class has been busy preparing for funOrama, although its still like 2 months away. we did 2 fund raisings, one of which was a success while the other was not so. other than that life in the first month has been quite relaxing without any stress. im very proud of myself for being emo for only 2 days through out this whole month! :D

okay im quite happy, as i just realised that my fringe is like, much longer now! so i guess i should go eat something before putting on the stupid rubber band to torture my poor teeth!

hoiiii! this blog has been dead for quite some time so i'm updating just to um keep it alive. we've all been busy la with school and stuff plus quynh and ha are like OGLs i honestly don't know how they cope man. me and quynh are taking sats on the 26th, (sadly not the same venue) and i dont know bout her but i'm confirm failing. HELPZ!

ok la i'm really tired/busy/lazy to write a nice long proper entry but yes. just an entry to say that we are still very much alive :) BUAI!

OCIP!

i am finally back from the ocip trip! hmm im not exactly as happy as i thought i would be. it is werid to recall how much i didnt want to go for the ocip trip last week, and am missing it like hell now! i wonder why this keeps happening to me! argh!

anw this ocip trip is really a tiring yet enriching experience. i've learnt a lot of things over this short period of less than one week. and i think i've changed a lot too! the most obvious and unexpected change that has taken place is the fact that now i want to be a teacher! and if you know me well, you must have known how much i hated being a teacher before!

as a kind of reflection after the trip, i just want to thank:

- mrs soong [yes, now i call her mrs soong!] for all the scoldings and encouragements as well.

- quynh and giang and hang and han for helping me translate documents, mc scripts, speeches and everything else.

- jia jun, yong xin and hai ching for making the rocket workshop the most interesting workshop ever!

- zaneth for the leadership.
- sock and matthew for being such great emcees.

- ian for all the cute photographs of you-know-who that you've taken.

- sarah, xavier, adeline and aditya for making your workshops not as fun as mine, so that the students are more excited to attend mine than yours [just kidding!].

- clare, jia yi, hui min, tessa, luisa, pei li, sylvia and angela for the efforts you've put in to save the nearly-failed science practicals.

if given a chance, i certainly wouldnt mind participating in another ocip trip with you guys! see you guys when school re-opens!

oh and here are some of the photos we took during the ocip! i dont have lots of pics in my cam, 'cos most of the times we were using the school's cam to take photos! so lets wait until i meet aditya and ask him for the photos [hope that he doesnt delete all the photos like he did!]

Updates!

i still havent finished watching OC yet! i actually wanted to stop watching for a while after i was done with season 2, but since the ending of season 2 was so arghhhhh, so i had to continue with season 3! i'll try to watch as much as i can before leaving for ocip!


omg i cant believe that the ocip group is coming tmr! hixhix what am i gonna do there for one whole week? i think im so gonna be bored to death! no movies, no going out, no internet! hixhix that sounds like hell, doesnt it? whats worse is the fact that i will be spending everyday with someone called S----! [for some reasons, her name must be censored! haha :D]


anyway i hope things will be fine in vinh next week. i hope my vietnamese has improved over the last few weeks so that it'd be good enough to communicate there! haha and im mc-ing for a concert, can you ever believe this? arghhhhhh!


the only thing i like abt this ocip trip is that quynh and i had a good time shopping for things today, most of which were clothes! haha super fun! i hope i'd be able to wear some of those clothes i bought today in vinh! (: (: (:

hello! i am sorry for not being able to update so often these days! i've been busy going out, watching shows and chatting to friends on msn and yahoo! messenger recently. i promise i will post something soon! now i just want to say one thing: one tree hill rocks! okay thats all. bye! i should go before my brother gets mad at me for stealing his comp for like more than twelve hours a day!

Home sweet home

It's such a long time anyone updated our blog

Ya, as what's written on the title of this entry, we are all at home now.

Okay, let's reflect a bit on the past year of J1. We were and are living happily in the ACS family, namely ACJC and ACS(IB). There have been good and bad memories, fun and sad times, yet we have all survived, all done our best, and all lived our J1 life to the fullest.

1. It was great the 3 of us came to ACJC together and lived in the same hostel for the first 3 months. Yup, first 3 months were GREAT, we all had a good time with Orientation, getting used to JC life, and having lots of new friends. Trang came along to NUS High after moving to ACS IB from VJ and we four stayed together like we used to in OH

2. Term 2 came with tests, like real tests, so different from our slack life during first 3 months. We came to know how it's like to get an A (which is not very common) and how it's like to fail as badly as with a U.
Some of us were busy with our CCAs, some were still jumping from CCAs to CCAs, trying out new sports, new clubs... Bonds were also formed within our classes, some liked their classes, some didn't... Still we enjoyed our life in various ways with various groups of people.

3. Term 3 with the horrible Term exam, the first serious exam we ever had in JC. Some didn't do well, some did pretty well, but all of us shared the determination to own Promos. There were still lots of tests, CCA trainings or practices, outings with classes, CCAs, friends, even OGs...
ASEAN dance was in August and we had a great time... dressing up, cam-whoring and meeting up with our old friends
Hostel life was still as crazy as it always is. School life was busy yet we enjoyed it..

4. Promos was a nightmare with a lot of stress. Ya, as usual, some scored well, some didn't and that's why we would try our best to put in more effort next year
Life was so damn fun and also busy after promos with OP (yucks), outings, trainings, shopping, blah blah blah... And then Trang and Ha left on the 5th, while PHuong and I left on the 16th of Nov, which officially marked an end to our J1 year.

One year is just so fast that whenever I look back, I see myself looking completely lost yet excited wearing my secondary school uniform sitting in a circle and listening to our OGLs on the 1st day in ACJC. We're going to be a J2 soon... So for whatever you wish to do but haven't done during your first year, hurry and do it, cos soon you would graduate.

Okay, let's talk a bit about our holiday at home. It's supposed to be WINTER now!!!! But what's going on??? The weather's so weird!!! Rarrr!!!! Maybe what annoys the most is that I can still actually wear my nice summer clothes but I bring only like 2 sets back. And I also cannot wear my winter clothes yet cos it's still.. pretty hot. Rarr....

We're having a gathering in Trang's house tomorrow for lunch, yay, then maybe we would go somewhere after that. We're staying over at my house, yay!!! It's gonna be fun man!!!!
